+ The dog I am interested in isn’t listed on Petfinder. Are they available?

This is a common scenario for puppies. Due to a dog’s popularity they are not always posted on Petfinder. If you are interested in a dog that was recently posted on Facebook but do not see them on Petfinder we would advise you to fill out an application.

+ I filled out an application but haven’t heard back.

Please note we are volunteer based, all applications will receive automated emails after submissions. As your application moves through our process you will also receive email updates. Please make sure to check your spam folders.

If you do not receive a response after 7 business days, please fill out our contact us form and we will check on the status of your application. You can also check the status of your application via the application portal.

+ I filled out an application but saw a new dog posted I want to add to my application. How do I do this?

The best way to update your application is to respond to your "Application Received" email with the name of the dog/s you would like to add to your application. Or if your application is Conditionally Approved, please respond to your conditionally approved email notification.

+ How long does it take to have my application reviewed?

It can take a minimum of 7 business days to have your application reviewed. Our volunteers are working around the clock to make sure the animals in our care find their furever homes and we appreciate your patience with us. If you do not receive a response within 7 business days please fill out a contact us form. You can also check the status of your application via the application portal.

+ I filled out an application but I haven’t received a confirmation email.

If your application has been submitted successfully you will receive a confirmation email. If you have not received a confirmation email, please login to the Application Portal and make sure you see the application says “Submitted”. The status of an unsubmitted application will be red. If your application shows as “Submitted” please verify the email you entered is correct and check your spam folders.

The mobile checkout link you receive is the last step of your adoption process. This is how your chip registration is issued to you. If a digital copy of your pets medical record is available you will also receive a copy of that once you have signed your adoption contract. **If the link gives you an error, that is because it has expired. The mobile check out link is only good for 12 hours, please reach out to your adoption coordinator to have the link resent.

+ I have adopted a pet, when will I get their medical records?

Dogs: You will receive a Medical Summary Report via email after signing your Mobile Checkout Link. Any additional medical information will be emailed to the email address on your application. Please be sure to check your spam folder. **Note: In some cases your Medical Summary Report will be blank, if this is the case for your dog please look for an additional email.

Cats: You will receive an email containing your new cats records within 1-2 weeks. Please be sure to check your spam folder.

+ What is the status of my application?

You can check the status of your application via the application portal. If it has been over 7 business days and you would like to check the status of your application, please fill out a contact us form. At this time we are NOT able to check the status of your application via Facebook Messages.

+ I am Conditionally Approved, what does this mean?

If you filled out an application for a dog and received a notification that you are Conditionally Approved that means the dog you applied for has been adopted to another family or your home is not a match but your application is approved to move forward in the process. The next step you need to take is to respond back to that email notification with additional dogs you are interested in. We highly recommend listing multiple dogs due to the popularity of many. Once your email is received and reviewed a coordinator will respond via email or phone.

+ My application is Pending Transport, what does this mean?

If your application is in a Pending Transport status that means your application is currently on hold. The reason for the hold is that our next transport out of state is not yet scheduled. Once the next transport is scheduled, an adoption coordinator will be going through all Pending Transport applications to match those applicants with an available dog. They will then reach out to you via phone or email. While you wait, we highly suggest following our social media and Petfinder to stay up to date on our available dogs.

+ I found a dog/cat, can you take it?

Please fill out a Found Animal form and our teams will assess their ability to help. As a foster based rescue if you are able to foster the animal you found please make sure to include that in your form submission. We rely on fosters in order to help those in need.

+ I need to find a new home for my dog/cat. Can you help find them a home?

Please fill out a Surrender/Re-homing Animal form and our teams will assess their ability to help.

+ What are your adoption fees?

Adoption fees vary per animal and are discussed during the application process. Fees for local adoptions will range between $150-550. Fees for transport adoptions are $550 for adults and $650 for puppies. To learn more about our fees please visit our fee information page here.
